  • Understand the major risk factors associated with COPD

  • Identify the common signs and symptoms associated with COPD

  • Describe a treatment plan for a patient with stable COPD vs a patient with an acute exacerbation of COPD

  • State the typical clinical presentation of a patient with asthma and identify the treatment currently available for these patients

  • Understand treatment options for patients suffering from acute asthma or patients with bronchiectasis
